Jim Abel has more than twenty-five years production experience and founded Out in the Cold Productions in 1995. He works primarily in the Rocky Mountain West but has taken crews to Argentina, England, Mexico, Belize, Yugoslavia, the Bahamas, Alaska and New Zealand as well as nearly half of the Lower Forty-Eight States.

Jim has received more than 150 Awards of Excellence for his work (Emmy, Columbus International Film Festival, Houston International Film Festival, Telly Awards, Spirit Award, Communicator Award, Videographer Award and National ADDY Awards). He has served on The Montana Film and Television Advisory Council and chaired The Billings Chamber of Commerce Film Liaison Council.
